KARACHI: President Asif Ali Zardari holds a meeting amid the violent situation in parts of Karachi particularly Lyari, Aaj news reported.

The reports says that, President ordered to eradicate all the gangs and extortionists prior to the elections and directed to shut down all the spots of gambling and drugs smuggling in lyari.

During the meeting President said that, criminals and terrorists do not have any association with PPP. He also directed to build more police and FC check posts in Lyari.

On Monday, President ordered indiscriminate targeted action against criminals and said that the menace of lawlessness and target killings in Karachi could be eradicated only if the PPP, MQM and ANP joined hands.
