Newly Muslim girls free to go by their own will
ISLAMABAD:Â The three newly Muslim girls granted permission to go by their own free will, Aaj news reported.
The three girls include Faryal (Rinkle Kumari), Hafsa Bibi (Dr Lata) and Haleema Bibi (Asha Kumari), were allowed to decide whether they want to live with their husbands or their family.
But later they decided to go with their Husbands.
According to the sources, the Supreme Court announced the verdict today which stated that the girls were old enough to make the right decisions themselves. The girls were asked to write their statements in the registrar office.
The three-member bench of Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez, ordered the police to ensure the complete security of girls and said that in case of any problem police will be responsible.
The family of Rinkle Kumari as Faryal protested against the court decision and thought it as an injustice but Faryal said she converted to Islam and married of her free will. Also maintained the statement that she was neither kidnapped, nor converted or married forcibly.
Earlier, the family of Faryal filed a petition in which took a stance that she was kidnapped and forcefully converted to Islam.
The Hindu minorities also staging a sit-in outside the supreme court.
