NATO supply: PCNS meeting ends without any result
ISLAMABAD: The meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for National Security (PCNS) was put to an end without any decision regarding the reopening of NATO supply routes, which was halted since the attack on Salala check post, Aaj news reported.
According to the sources, JUI continued to boycott the meeting regardless of the appeal from President Asif Ali Zardari.
Earlier, the committee could not accomplish the task due to boycott of the committee proceedings by Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) to protest increase in the prices of petroleum products and CNG.
But later, on the request of Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif ended the boycott and the party joined the committee proceedings.
