All set for Zardari’s visit to Ajmer Sharif tomorrow
President Asif Ali Zardari gets ready to embark on a day-long visit to India on April 8, during which he is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Security arrangements have been made for the visit of President Asif Ali Zardari, who is scheduled tomorrow to pay obeisance at the dargah of sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
Zardari, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Interior minister Rehman Malik and other members of the delegation will visit the dargah.
The delegation will arrive at Sanganer airport in Jaipur in a special aircraft from where they will leave for Ajmer in helicopters. Four helicopters carrying them will land at the Ghughara helipad at 4.10 PM, sources said.
President Zardari’s trip to New Delhi is the first by a Pakistani head of state since 2005, is the most visible sign that the neighbours have put the enmity that followed the 2008 terror attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai behind them and are working to strengthen economic and political ties.
