Citizens of Karachi having any complaint against profiteering or any other relevant issue faced by them in the local markets can approach, via phone, control cells functional in all districts of the city, said a senior official associated with the commissioner's office on Wednesday.

As per directives of Commissioner of Karachi, Roshan Ali Shaikh complainants can also register their grievances at the complaint cell established at the commissioner office on land line number 99205639 and 99203443 respectively.

Control rooms established at the DC office (south) can be contacted via 021-99206338; DC office (Central) 021- 36966511 and 36966510; DC office (West) 021-32594692; DC office (East) 021-99230918 and DC office (Malir) 021-35001305 respectively.

Roshan Ali Shaikh has also directed all deputy commissioners of the city to ensure that all shops in their respective jurisdiction have the officially approved, updated price lists properly displayed enabling people to easily go through these before making the necessary purchase.

A campaign against profiteers and price hikers has already initiated in the city with all violators of law duly fined, said the official.
