Memogate: Haqqani files petition to be excused from hearing
Pakistan's former ambassador to United States, Hussain Haqqani has filed a petition stating that he would not be able to appear before the memo commission hearing this Thursday.
The memo commission had issued a summon notice to Haqqani for April 5 to record his statement.
Hussain Haqqani, in his petition stated that his deteriorating heart condition is the reason of him excusing himself from the hearing scheduled on April 5.
Apart from that, Haqqani also expressed concern over his request to the Supreme Court about recording his statement via Video Link like his counterpart Mansoor Ijaz.
The memo commission had already denied Haqqani's request for video trial and advised him to seek assistance from the Supreme Court.
