Around 11 people were buried alive under an avalanche and several injured in northern areas of the country including Chitral, Sawat and Ghazar on Tuesday.

A new spell of snowfall along with rain has kicked off in northern areas of the country.
According to reports, four people including a child and four people including two women were killed when their house was buried under snow in District Ghazar. Three others were also injured in the same incident.

While five were killed in Chitral in the same landslide incident.

A senior district administration official in Ghizer, Shuja Alam, said that landslides had blocked various routes in the valley, adding that the government was trying to reach out to the affected people.
