PM Gilani only wants to save the president: Imran Khan

The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday, that the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani did not write the letter to swiss authorities because he was only wants to save president Zardari.

While addressing a press conference in Lahore, the party chief said that the leaders have brought the country to its demise. He said that the previous governments have lead the country to a dangerously declining path.

When asked about his party's vice chairman, Shah Mehmood Qureshi allegedly approaching other political parties he recoiled and didn't comment on the question.

He also announced that Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf's Countrywide campaign for party membership will start from Sunday onwards. Khan claimed that a staggering 4-5 million people will join PTI as a result of this campaign, adding that his Tsunami will reach the whole of Pakistan. Khan said that not just cities but rural areas of Pakistan feel also feel the change that PTI Tsunami will bring.

Speaking on the Seraiki Province issue, he said that the increasing pressure on creating the Seraiki province and Bhawalpur province was due to heightened frustrations of the people.

He said that PTI was clear on the stand of creating new provinces that "provinces should be in the form of administrative units,” instead of being used as politically motivated “election gimmick”.
