Russia: Man orders 1 million red roses for wive
In Russia, Kazakhstan, a man has reportedly ordered one million red roses for his wife, for celebrating the International Women's Day, this Thursday.
After a quarrel between the two, the man decided to make it up to her by placing an order with a local florist in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan.
The total price of the flowers is speculated to be around $3 million to $13 million, depending on what kinds of flowers have been ordered.
This grand gesture of love his based on a romantic pop hit from Soviet times. The " Million Roses" song was popularized by Soviet pop diva Alla Pugacheva in 1982.
The song, which tells a story of an artist trying to win a woman's heart through the gift of flowers, sold over six million copies as a single.
