BB murder case: SC issued notices to Malik, Awan and Musharraf
The Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing regarding to lodge a second FIR of the Benazir Bhutto assassination.
The apex court, headed by CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry along with two other judges heard the case today, in Islamabad.
The SC had ordered issuance of notices to the interior minister Rehman Malik, Law minister Dr.Babar Awan, former president Pervaiz Musharraf and others.
The notices were re-issued after the court was informed that the respondents cannot be reached as Rehman Malik’s lawyer Anwar Manoor was abroad. to which the court ordered that Babar Awan should be notified VIA the attorney general's office and a notice be displayed outside the former president Pervaiz Musharraf's residence in London, including a warning that other cases were also being heard in Pakistan.
The court expressed its displeasure with the fact the none of the respondents have submitted their replies to the notice and said that it expected brief replies from the respondents now adjourning the hearing for two more weeks.
