The police official was killed and another six were injured in a blast on Saturday in Charsadda.

The blast occurred at Shabqadar road in Charsadda. The blast came right after the public meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party Sherpao. As a result police official was killed and six others were injured.

According to police a suspected suicide bomber blew himself up near the motorcade of PPP-Sherpao leaders. Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao and his son narrowly escaped a bomb blast. Injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan Mohmaand Agency claimed responsibility for the attack.
