The suo moto hearing of the assault at Tando Mohammad Khan polling station is underway today at the Supreme Court, AajNews reported.

Waheeda Shah, who is accused of repeatedly assaulting a lady election officer during the polling process, is a candidate of the Pakistan People's Party (PPP). Cheif Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, took notice of the incident as it was caught on video thanks to a bystander.

Waheeda Shah, IG Sindh and the Election Commission officer, all three parties connected to the scenario were summoned by the court for today.
