PCB chief selector Mohd Ilyas to be replaced by Iqbal Qasim
Imran Farhat's father-in-law and Pakistan Cricket team's chief selector, Mohammad Ilyas announced his resignation today. Local media reported.
He presented the much awaited resignation letter to the chairman of PCB today, this decision came in light to the summoning of Mr Ilyas by the cricket board earlier, to be present at today's meeting.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Iqbal Qasim, as Chief Selector for one year, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Zaka Ashraf said.
The other members of committee are Azhar Khan (Punjab), Farrukh Zaman (Khyber Pakhtwnkha), Saleem Jaffar (Sindh) and Asif Baloch (Balochistan).
Speculations are that Ilyas resigned because of team Paksitan's defeat inflicted by England in the ODI and T20 series.
His son in law Imran Farhat has been absent from the team.
