The hearing of court's contempt case against Dr.Babar Awan resumed today in the Supreme Court. The hearing was conducted under the two member SC bench occupied by Justice Aijaz Fazal  and Justice Athar Saeed.

During the hearing, Dr.Babar Awan's counsel claimed that his client had no intentions of ridiculing the court's orders.

To which the video of Babar Awan's press conference at the Press Information Department was played, in which Dr.Babar and three other ministers categorically denied the apex courts judgments on the memo case.

The hearing was adjourned till March 8.

During the hearing, the video of Awan’s press conference held at the Press Information Department was shown.

Expressing disappointment, Justice Athar Saeed said that he expected a Lawyer of such stature was expected of higher ethical and civil values for the court's decisions.

The court will now announce its decision on March 8.
