Appointment of DG ISI: Three names being considered
As the incumbent Director General Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) is going to retire on March 18, the government is said to be mulling over to name his successor instead of giving extension to him for the third time.
Acoording to sources Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, who is the appointing authority of the DG ISI, is considering three names to pick one of them to succeed General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, current DG ISI.
The names who are being considered for the post are Lt. General Zaheer-ul-Islam, Lt. General Rashid Mehmood and Lt. General Muhamamd Asif.
