NA adopts 20th amendment bill
The National Assembly (NA) on Tuesday unanimously adopted 20th constitutional amendment bill as the speaker NA Fehmida Mirza chairs session of the lower house.
Law Minister Maula Bakhsh Chandio presented the bill before the house and voting held consequently. Later, the members of assembly unanimously approved different clauses of the bill. The bill was passed unanimously by 247 members and not a single member casted a vote in against of the bill.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani felicitated the nation and all the Parliamentarians for passing the bill. He said all political parties are united on the national interests and the 20th amendment strengthened democracy.
