The special anti-terrorism court earlier today, handed the alleged suspect Ziaur Rehman in the assassination case of Shabaz Bhatti to the Police for 7 days of remand, AajNews reported.

Shahbaz Bhatti, who was the first Christian parliamentarian, was assassinated last year in March, when his vehicle was attacked in Islamabad.

Authorities in Dubai had arrested Ziaur Rehman and Malik Abid, who had managed to flee to the Arab country last year and moved him to Pakistan after due process.

He is to be produced in the court again on February 21.
