New rain spell to start from Sunday: MET
Director Meterological Department Dr Hanif has said that upper areas like Islamabad/Rawalpindi will receive rain from Sunday evening which will continue till next two to three days.
Talking to PTV on Friday, Hanif said westerly waves will enter the country from saturday which will cause the sixth spell of rain in upper areas. Kashmir, Murree and Northern Areas will receive snow fall during this weekend.
He said that due to this new spell Khyber Pakhtunkhaw and Upper Punjab including Lahore, Gujranawala and Rawalpindi are likely to receive rain while Northern Areas of Balochistan will receive snow fall.
He said that upper and Northern areas of Punjab will remain in the grip of dense fog during next few days.
He said that unusual cold wave in Sindh has finally ended and weather will be pleasant there especially in Karachi and within the coastal strip adding that intensity of cold waves will start decreasing from Friday in coastal areas of Balochistan as well.
He said that in coming three days flight schedule of Northern Areas might be disturbed due to weather conditions.
