The Supreme Court on Tuesday admitted for hearing a petition filed in anticipation of a perceived move to sack Army Chief Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and ISI Director General Lt-Gen Ahmad Shuja Pasha against the backdrop of the ‘memogate’ fiasco.

The bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry heard the appeal against objections raised by the Registrar Office.

The CJ forwarded SK Butt's petition to the court office and directed that the petitions be fixed for regular hearing for being maintainable.
