Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani along with Railways Minister Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour to inaugurate country’s first Business Express train on Friday (today).

The PM will also inaugurate the Shahdrah Tool Plaza after attending Railways ceremony as chief guest at Lahore Railways Station. The PR has finalised all the arrangements in this regard.

The Railways Police on Thursday arranged a full dress rehearsal in presence of Inspector General Syed Ibne Hussain. Railways General Manager Rana Saeed Akhtar and IGP also reviewed arrangements along with other officers of the department.

The Business Express, the first non-stop train to run between Lahore and Karachi with private public partnership.

The train had to start its journey between Lahore and Karachi on December 25 but delayed till February 3. The first trial run of the train was conducted successfully on Jan 26. The Railways and M/s Four Brothers International (Pvt) Ltd had signed on Aug 18 last year an agreement to operate the train between Punjab and Sindh capitals as a joint venture.
