KTI announces strike
The Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) on Saturday announced that a wheel-jam strike will be observed on January 31 against Qingi motorcycle rickshaws.
The decision to observe the strike was taken during a KTI meeting, which was chaired by Syed Irshad Hussain Shah Bukhari.
Bukhari said that the present regime has given the “gift†of Qingi rickshaws being “patronised by provincial transport minister.
The KTI appealed to the chief minister Sindh and the provincial transport minister to take action against illegal Qingi rickshaws by January 30 or else the transporters would go on strike the next day.
