The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered to arrest Khurram Rasool, the former Media coordinator of Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani in the fraud case of Rs630 million, Aaj News reported.

Butt and his brother Shahid Mehmood, along with one Ghulam Ghose, were accused of forging the signature of the Petroleum and natural resources secretary on various agreements.

A four-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC) headed by Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of Khurram Rasool fraud case today, who is an accused of Rs630 million fraud case.

During today’s proceedings, the CJ remarked that if the allegations were proved right, then it would be the biggest crisis of the country as the prime minister and his secretaries were named in the case.

earlier, Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry said that DG FIA was explicitly violating the court’s orders. He ordered to record the statements of the petitioner and Secretary Cabinet Division Nargis Sethi today by 1 pm.
