Cold wave persists, dry weather in next few days: MET
The Metereology Department has predicted dry weather during next few days in the plain areas of the country.
However cold will continue to persist as during last 24 hours, two and a half feet snow fall was recorded in Murree and Galiyat while four feet in Neelam Valley, Lowari Top, Kalam, Malam Jabba and Skardu.
Intensity of cold persists in upper parts of the country with plain areas continuously in the grip of thick fog. The Motorway Police had closed the motorway from Peshawar to Swabi and from Faisalabad to Pindi Bhatian due to dense fog and zero visibility. However, Faisalabad-Pindi Bhatian Motorway was reopened as the fog reduced.
Meanwhile, Kasur and Taxila are also in the grip of thick fog which is expected to prevail in canal areas of Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa during next three days.
