Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Tuesday said that the nation has appreciated the Prime Minister's decision to personally appear before the apex court that would help remove misunderstanding.

Talking to media at parliament house, he said the government always respected the apex court and implemented its decisions.

He said the opposition was using various tactics to snatch wining majority from Pakistan People Party (PPP) in upcoming Senate elections, adding the parliament would complete its tenure and elections would be held on time.

Interior Minister said on the one hand PML-N was claiming to defend democratic system in the country while on the other it had taken what he claimed the fake memo issue to the apex court.

He said US businessman Mansoor Ijaz had toppled the Benazir Bhutto government and present memo issue was continuation of the conspiracy.
