Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Wednesday dismissed defence Secretary Lt General (Retd.) Naeem Khalid Lodhi. Cabinet Secretary Nargis Sethi has been given additional charge of Defence Secretary.

The prime minister’s move came after the Army reacted to Gilani’s interview to a Chinese newspaper, wherein he had termed Army chief and DG ISI’s response submitted to Supreme Court’s in memogate case as illegal and unconstitutional.
