Actor Sultan Rahi’s 16th death anniversary was observed by his fans on Monday.

Sultan Rahi was born in 1938. He started his film career as a junior artist in 1959. In 1975 he became an action icon for the lovers of Punjabi films. The year 1979, changed his whole life as his film (MAULA JATT) became the biggest hit Pakistan had ever seen. It broke all records and did wonders for the Pakistani Film Industry.

His extremely successful film career came to a tragic end on January 9, 1996, when he was shot and killed by unidentified persons in a highway robbery on G.T. road near Gujranwala.
