Gas crisis worsen: CNG closure enters 2nd day in KP

The CNG Owners Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tuesday continued the shut down of  filling stations in the province as protest against current hike in fuel prices and other government steps.

Due to the CNG closure commuters faced so much problem. while Gas loadshedding under the load management program has made life miserable for the students and office staff who are unable to reach their destination.

Taking advantage of the situation, taxi drivers kept over charging the passengers who had no other way to travel.

Some of the CNG stations in Charsadda were opened after a day closure. But low pressure and nonavailability of gas created long ques of vehicles in the city.

The association said that the stations were closed in connection with the indefinite strike against raise in petroleum prices, low gas pressure at filling stations, import of CNG cylinders and ban on fixing CNG kit in commercial vehicles.
