Former Test leg-spinner Mushtaq Ahmed celebrated his valima reception on December 26, seventeen years after his wedding.

Currently part of the bowling coaching team of England, Ahmed announced his valima ceremony a month later after 17 years of his wedding.

The reception was attended by Mushtaq's family, relatives and close friends including Former Test cricketers Inzmam-ul-Haq, Aqib Javed, Saleem Malik, Ramiz Raja and best empire of the year, Aleem Dar.

"I could not hold the valima ceremony 17 years ago. Now after discussing the matter with my family members, I have decided it as it is a holy act of Shariah Muhammadi," said Ahmed.

"The relatives and friends backed Ahmed's decision said that this gives pleasure to him and his wife and children.
