CNG shut for 24 hours in Sindh, Balochistan

The Sui Southern Gas Company on Tuesday announced yet another 24-hour shut down of gas supply to CNG stations in Sindh, which will include Karachi and Balochistan. The outage started from 9 am Wednesday and will continue till 9 am Thursday, December 22nd.

This is the fourth CNG shutdown of the current season in the city and other parts of the province.

According to SSGC announcement here Tuesday, the decision has been taken in view of the continuing gas shortage and as per the recent ECC decision.

The decision to discontinue gas to the CNG stations on a periodic basis follows an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply in Karachi and interior Sindh.

SSGC said that while the customers are faced with an acute situation, the company is taking all measures to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.

In this regard, the management has requested all stakeholders to fully support the company in handling low pressure situation more effectively.
