Sindh CNG stations closed for 24 hours

All the CNG stations in Sindh were shut at 9am here on Friday due to extraordinarily low gas pressure situation across the province.

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) on Thursday announced 24-hour CNG station shut-down in Sindh province. A SSGC release said in the wake of an extraordinarily low pressure situation that has badly affected overall gas supply, SSGC will shut down gas to the CNG stations in Karachi and interior Sindh for 24 hours from 9 am on Friday, December 16 till 9 am on Saturday, December 17, 2011.

The decision was made during the meeting of SSGC management with the representatives of CNG associations at the Company head office on December 15.

During the CNG closure commuters faced severe trouble due to fewer buses on the roads while rickshaw and taxi drivers demand high fares.
