During the preparation of Muharam ul Haram the Sindh government on Tuesday extended special powers for Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) for next three months.

A notification has also been issued in this regard.  The Rangers could conduct raids, snap checking and arrest under the special powers.

The special powers were given to the paramilitary force in the wake of worsening law and order situation in Karachi.
