Pakistan won the three-nation hockey tournament by defeating Australia.

Pakistan defeated Australia by 4-3. Shoail Abbas, Muhammad Touseef, Muhamamd Imran and Shakeel Abbasi scored for Pakistan. The third team of the tournament was India.

Australia defeated Pakistan in the two round matches while it played draw with India. However, in the final Pakistani team displaced brilliant performance and outclassed  Australia to lift the trophy.

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minsiter Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani congratulated the hockey team for winning the three-nation tournament.

It is to be mentioned here that during the round match of the tournament, Pakistani and Indian  players indulged in physical fight, after an Indian player hit a Pakistan player with his hockey stick.
