Police claim progress in Taseer’s abduction case
Police have made "much progress" in the case of Shahbaz Taseer, the son of slain Governor Salmaan Taseer, who was abducted by suspected militants in August, CCPO Lahore has said.
During a news conference in Lahore, Capital City Police Officer Ahmed Raza Tahir claimed that police have traced the network of kidnappers involved in the kidnapping of Shahbaz Taseer and an American National.
He said police and law enforcement agencies are making all out efforts to recover Shahbaz Taseer safely.
Responding to a question CCPO said, they had traced nine bank robberies out of the total 11.
While Anti Car lifting Staff (AVLS) of Lahore police had nabbed 23 vehicle thieves of two gangs during the last one month and recovered 233 stolen vehicles, including 96 cars and 111 motorcycles.
