Dengue claims 10 more lives
Another ten persons including five women died of dengue virus in the provincial metropolis during the last 24 hours.
Those died persond include, 35 years old Farhat, 27 years old Zunera, Rafaqat Bibi of 60 years, Shakila 26 years, Arsalan, Javeria.
During the last 24 hours, 30 years old Saleem, 65 years Khursheed and 50 years Sarwar also lost their precious lives due to dengue fever.
People of all age groups having complaints of fever are approaching different hospitals for medical tests and treatment.
Long queues have been seen at different hospitals increasing burden on health facilities. As many as 288 new dengue cases have been reported in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
Since 152 people have been died in Punjab so far including 141 people from Lahore.
The total number of cases is 12,379 in the province out of which 10,904 cases are reported in Lahore. As many as 10,585 dengue victims have been cured in Lahore. A team of Indonesian experts had arrived in Lahore to provide assistance to the health authorities in controlling the spread of the disease.
