The Joint investigation Team (JIT) here Tuesday visited the site of blast occurred in DHA area of Karachi outside the residence of SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam on Monday morning.

Meanwhile, the meeting of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) meet today (Tuesday) with the DIG South Shaukat Shah in the chair in Durakhshan police station.

The meeting of the investigation team was held at the Darakshan police station and was chaired by DIG South. Other members of the investigation team include SSP SIU Omer Khitab, SSP South Naem Sheikh, SSP Clifton Tariq Dharejo and other investigation officials.

The blast, whose target was SSP CID Chaudhry Aslam, was in keeping with the change in Taliban tactics: to kill a security official, they would blow up his home and it would be of no consequence if his family and neighbours were victims of such an assault.

Monday`s attack in the DHA area destroyed many neighbouring houses and killed eight people including a student and his mother.
