8 more dengue patients die in Punjab

Dengue menace has continued to spread across the country predominantly in Punjab, when 8 more people lost their lives on Saturday.

413 Dengue cases have been confirmed in Punjab. Emergency has been declared in the hospitals but the problem seems uncontrollable by the management due to limited resources government hospitals and that is why patients are bound to go to private hospitals where they are over-charged.

Earlier, today 42 years old Hafiz Jamel, 70 years old Memona Khawaja, 40 years old Mehbob, Ghaffar, Mehmood Ahmed, 18 years old Kajal, Mohammad Azam and Rizwan died of dengue fever in a private hospital.

Sri Lankan experts brought in to deal with the rapid spread of the virus visited different areas. They also briefed doctors and medical staff at the Jinnah hospital. The experts appealed to people to avoid repeated blood tests and not to be scared of the virus.
