Blast in lower Dir kills ANP leader
A remote-controlled bomb blast in the Maidan area of Lower Dir killed a local leader of Awami National Party.
According the details the bomb, believed to be detonated through a remote-controlled device, killed the Awami National Party’s (ANP) district President Sher Muhammad Khan. The blast also injured five persons including two security guards, driver and two civilians.
Sher Muhammad Khan along with his driver and guards including Shahid, Rafiullah and Matiullah, was in a van in Bandai area of Lowaer Dir when he was attacked with a remote-controlled explosive device.
Sher Muhammad Khan died on the spot while the other five persons injured in the incident. The security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation.
The injured were urgently shifted to District Hospital Timergrah where their condition is said to be out of danger.
