The PPP-led coalition government has decided to restore local government system  in Karachi and Hyderabad.However , in the remaining twenty one districts of Sindh, the commissonerate system will remain in place.Two ordinance in the regard have been signed by the Governor of Sindh,Aaj news reported late Saturday night .

Theses decision of the meeting were disclosed at the press conference by Governor of Sindh  Dr Ishrat-ul-ibad Khan and Pakistan Peoples Party leader Baber Awan late Saturday night.Awan said that Local Government Ordinance of 2001 will come again come into force in Karachi and Hyderabad as the previous status of Hyderabad and Sindh had been restored and an ordinance to this effect aso been signed by the Governor of Sindh
