Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Tuesday took oath as the eleventh prime minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

AJK President Raja Zulqarnain Khan has administered oath to him. Federal Minister Manzoor Watto congratulated to Ch. Abdul Majeed.

Earlier the members of the assembly elected the new leader of the house by balloting. Chaudhry Abdul Majeed of PPP got 35 votes while Raja Farooq Haider Khan from PML-N got 11 votes.

PPP remained dominant in the assembly which favoured in the election of Abdul Majeed as the prime minister.

PPP has also announced Chaudhry Yasin as a senior minister.
