India makes conditional acceptance of DRS
India's cricket board has dropped its strict opposition to the umpires' Decision Review System in international matches and said Monday it is willing to accept a modified version of the technology.
Though it remains firmly opposed to the current ball-tracking system used by DRS, the Board of Control for Cricket in India softened its stance on other technologies.
Indian board secretary Narainswamy Srinivasan said the BCCI had always been willing to embrace technology for the betterment of the game.
"The BCCI is agreeable to the use of technology in decision-making, which will include iinfrared cameras and audio-tracking`devices," Srinivasan said in a statement.
