At least one person was killed and one other injured in a bomb blast that took place on Gulistan Road in Queeta on Monday.

According to police that unknown men had planted an explosive device into a bicycle and parked it on Gulistan Road near a check post near police line in cantonment area.

Two passers-by received injuries when the explosive planted in the bicycle exploded, police said.

The injured Zia-ul-Haq and Nizam-ud-Din were shifted to the civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Later they were rushed to CMH where Zia-ul-Haq succumbed to injuries.
