Prithvi II missile test fired in India
India successfully test-fired a short-range nuclear missile Thursday, a defense ministry official said.
The surface-to-surface Prithvi missile was fired from India's missile-testing range in Chandipur in the eastern state of Orissa, the official said.
Arrangements were made to monitor all the trajectory parameters of the missile throughout the test-flight.
A war ship was also located near the target location on the Bay of Bengal. Senior Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) officials were present during the test-flight of Prithvi-II.
