Pakistan coach Waqar Younis says the team should seek a new batting coach because Javed Miandad is unwilling to commit to the job.

Miandad refuses to be the batting coach for personal reasons, though the batting great gave Pakistan batsmen tips during a two-day conditioning camp at Lahore which ended on Wednesday.

Younis says he does "not understand why we keep going round and round," and if Miandad is not willing to accept the role then the Pakistan Cricket Board should search again.

Younis says whoever becomes the batting coach will be "more than welcome." Pakistan leaves on Thursday for West Indies to play two tests, five one-day internationals and a Twenty20.
