Australia set 261 runs target for India

Ricky Ponting's 104 runs helped Austrlaia reach 260/6 in the quarterfinal match against India at Ahmedabad on Thursday.Ponting hit a terrific century in the 49th over of the match, Zaheer Khan took the catch. Silencing his critics, Australia captain Ricky Ponting hit his 30th ODI hundred and fifth in World Cup tournaments on Thursday at Ahmedabad.

Earlier in the day, Australia won the toss and elected to bat. India has  made just one change in the side with inclusion of Virender Sehwag and leaving out Yusuf Pathan.Australia dropped leg-spinning all-rounder Steven Smith and David Hussey replaced him.Winning the toss is a good advantage for the Australia, as the pitch will help the bowlers more and more as the match progresses.
