Imran Khan, who has been busy shooting for Yash Raj’s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and Dharma Production’s ‘Short Term Shadi’, never wanted to give Holi a miss. The cute actor loves the festival of colours and wanted to celebrate it this year earnestly since it’s his first Holi with his newly wed wife Avantika. And his wish came true when the shooting for his flick with Kareena Kapoor was called off owing to Bebo’s ill health.

On learning that the shoot has been cancelled Imran immediately planned a Holi bash at his Bandra residence.

Discussing Imran’s love for the festival, a source said, "Imran loves to play Holi. It`s one of his favourite festivals. But due to his back to back shoots, he had given up on celebrating the festival this year.”

“When he got the news that his shoot for the Dharma film got cancelled due to Kareena falling ill. He checked on her health status, as the two have got extremely fond of each other during the shoot. After that he decided to plan a last minute Holi party," the source added.

And kid Khan was quick enough to text all his friends to join him for the colourful bash. Talking to the tabloid, junior Khan said, "I`ve been really busy off late, so when I got a day off, all I could think of was to celebrate Holi."

Kareena’s illness sure came as a blessing in disguise for Imran.
