At least fourteen militants were killed and several others injured during a clash with security forces in Hangu and Kurram Agency on Tuesday.

A group of armed miscreants attacked at security forces' check post on Tot-Kas Road in Hangu.

The security forces foiled the attack by the miscreants when they retaliated.

In a gun battle between the miscreants and the security forces, six miscreants killed and several others injured.

After the attack the security forces were put on high alert while heavy surveillance was put on everyone coming in and out of the region.

On the other hand, security forces conducted operation against militants and carried out shelling against the suspected positions of militants in Central Kurram agency.

At least eight militants killed while three militant hideouts were destroyed in th operation.
