Two people have been injured in a blast at the Congress party's office in Guwahati on Monday.

According to Indian TV that a grenade was thrown into the office on GS Road in Tarun Nagar earlier this evening in the heart of Assam's capital as a result two Congress leaders have reportedly been injured in grenade attack – one of them is the spokesperson for the party in Assam.

Assam is gearing up for state elections.
