Trial court to decide Davis’ immunity: CJ LHC
The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday ruled that trial court would decide about the diplomatic immunity of Raymond Davis, a US national held on murder charges.
The LHC was hearing the case regarding the petitions against diplomatic immunity of Raymond Davis. The federal government submitted its reply to the LHC regarding immunity of US national Raymond Davis.
The government's lawyer in its reply said that Raymond was given Official Visa upon request of American government.
"The case is in a trial court, it will decide on his immunity," Chief Justice Ejaz Chaudhry told the court.
Davis, 36, shot dead two Pakistanis in Lahore on Jan. 27.
