Pakistan test fires Hataf-2 (Abdali) missile
Pakistan successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable Hataf-2 (Abdali) missile on Friday.
The short-range ballistic missile Hataf-2 (Abdali) can carry nuclear and conventional warheads and its range is reported to be 180 kilo-meter.
The test was witnessed by Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman Gen. Khalid Shamim Wynne.
The test at an undisclosed location was "warmly appreciated by the President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani," who congratulated the scientists and engineers on their success.
