West Indies board ‘satisfied’ with WCup security
The West Indies Cricket Board says it is "satisfied" with security at the World Cup despite its team bus being pelted with stones by local supporters following a match in Bangladesh.
WICB said in a statement issued late Saturday that its team "while slightly shaken" was in "very good spirits" after Friday's incident in Dhaka, when two bus windows were cracked as the visitors left Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium following a lopsided win over co-host Bangladesh.
The WICB has moved to smooth over any bad feeling, saying its team has always been "warmly received" in Bangladesh and treated with "great hospitality."
The statement said "we expect this to continue despite this incident."
West Indies plays Ireland next in Mohali, India.
